The restaurant on site was fantastic. The food, quality of service, and kindness expressed by the staff were great. Jairo at the bar in the restaurant had very solid recommendations for food (the salmon is what I chose) but also the surrounding area if I cared to explore more. Definitely consider this hotel and the restaurant on site for your stay if you’re in Providence.

Pleasing stay at Hotel Providence, beautiful lobby, and decent sized rooms. Only lacking curb appeal because of the location, but trust me, it’s a hidden gem. Employees are very helpful, Racquel was very polite, welcoming and gave great nearby restaurant recommendations. Rooms are very spacious and very decorated, would visit again!!

I would’ve given this hotel 5 stars but two things were a major downer. Rooms were impeccably clean and check in was a breeze but as I was coming in numerous homeless people were around the entrance, one sleeping and 3 others coming up to me asking me for money and cigarettes. Of course I have compassion but I was a solo female traveler and I was very uneasy. Second, I was travelling all day and housekeeping knocked at my door at 10:00, check out is 11 and I was disrupted 30 min before my alarm. Absolutely no excuse because the front desk attendant told me there were only 10 guests in the entire hotel. Either way completely uncalled for to be knocking and trying to clean the room an hour before check out

The location was great. Right in downtown Providence and within walking distance to anything I needed, including good food and parks and the RISD museum. The women at the front desk were extremely kind and helpful. And I'm kind of neurotic and needy, so big kudos to them.

After booking a room at another hotel and hearing that my reservation has been canceled without notice they had sent me here and the service was great! Big thank you to Jordan for going above and beyond in answering my barrage of questions and making sure my stay was pleasant. Breakfast was great with a big selection to choose from. The homeless can throw the area off a bit but if you don’t bother them they won’t bother you. Other than that i would definitely visit again! thank you to all the staff at the hotel and Jordan for making sure my expectations were met.

Lovely location, right by everything! Room was comfortable although more attention to glass cleanliness would've been helpful. The bed was so comfortable and I got a really good sleep. Shout-outs to Jordan checking us in who was welcoming and kind and to Apryl who was kind, clear, and helpful in getting us food for breakfast. Appreciated her bringing out extra breakfast sandwiches after breakfast close for us to take!

The hotel was great! I loved the snack table setup with cookies and cider — the cider was delicious. The room was a perfect size, and having a restaurant inside the hotel that offered a continental breakfast was a big bonus. The restaurant itself was really good as well. The hotel staff was wonderful. The front desk worker, Nelly, was exceptionally great — super friendly and attentive. She helped us with everything we needed and even took a group photo for us. My group loves pictures, and she kindly took over 30 photos without any hesitation. She was incredibly patient and supportive. I’d definitely stay at this hotel again!

Thank you to the front desk worker Jordan for making me and my family feel welcome, very polite and well spoken and also for taking a trip to the ice machine for me since i couldn’t locate it on the 2nd floor. would visit again and would definitely recommend!
